She was born in Louisiana and moved to Leflore County (Morgan City) with her parents at an early age where she attended the Morgan City public schools. She had been a resident of Leland since 1947. In 1951, she attended Delta Beauty College and owned and operated the Leland Beauty Shop until her retirement in 1990.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Leland.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luther E. Ware, in 1972, and a son, Luther Earl Ware in 1935.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred W. Edwards, of Richland, and Callie W. Campbell, of Leland; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2012, at the family home.
