Darry Amelia Ware, 50, of Skokie, died Jan. 13 at Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie.

Ms. Ware was a secretary at Northwestern University Traffic Institute, a member of the McGaw YMCA in Evanston, and former member of the YWCA in Evanston.

Ms. Ware grew up in Morton Grove. She graduated from Niles North High School and Northern Michigan University. Survivors include her parents Richard David and Beatrice Leviton Ware of Green Valley, Ariz., brother Robert of Tucson, Ariz., and sister Karen Silver of Oakland Calif. Service will be at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Wheadon United Methodist Church, 2214 Ridge Ave., Evanston and interment will be in Arizona. Funeral arranged by Barr Funeral Home.
