Elmer H. Ware Jr., 81, of Norwood Park, died July 10 at Brighton Gardens by Marriott, Prospect Heights. Born in Chicago on March 27, 1916, he had worked in traffic management for Schwinn Bicycle.

Visitation was held July 13 at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home in Chicago. His service was July 14 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald D. Lott officiating. Interment was at Ridgewood Cemetery.

He was the husband of Laverne (nee Olsen); father of Ronald (Arlene) of Arlington Heights; grandfather of Tracy Ware and Jennifer Hansen; son of Myrtle of Norwood Park and the late Elmer H. Sr.; brother of Laurine Tichy of Chicago, Luella Porcaro of Norwood Park, Virginia Westenfelt of Des Plaines and Robert (Erna) Ware of Niles; uncle of many.
