Born Aug. 9, 1921, in Dunlap to Ensley and Mabel Mae Stotler Pullen, she married James E. Ware on Aug. 29, 1941, in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, David (and Suzanne) of Pueblo, Colo., Donald (and Alma) of Dallas, Texas, and Larry (and Hope) of Peoria; one daughter, Kathryn (and Charles) Allison of Lake Zurich; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth (and Zelda) Pullen of Groveland, Robert (and Florence) Pullen of Metamora and Gerald (and Sandra) Pullen of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one daughter, Mary Helen Ware.
She was a store manager for Schierer’s Dairy from 1966 to 1978 and a clerk at Stafford Dairy from 1978 until retiring in 1984.
She was a 1940 graduate of Brown’s Business College. She was a member of WABCO Camping Club.
She was a former member of Hale Methodist Church, a member of Bradley Epworth United Methodist and a member and former secretary af the United Methodist Women.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave. The Rev. Thomas Eckhardt will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
