Lois A. Hughes, Lois A. Hughes (nee Ware), on Sept 15, 2013, age 75, of Broomall.
Born in Philadelphia, she graduated from John Bartram High School. Lois was employed as a Teacher’s Aide at the Trinity Lutheran Church Nursery School for 16 years. Mrs. Hughes had been a member of the Aldan Union Church for 28 years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Choir and led the Women’s Bible Study.
She enjoyed cooking and hosting friends and neighbors camping with the family and spending time at the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Survivors: Her beloved husband Donald R. Hughes and devoted mother of Ken, Dan (Lisa), and Tim (Kathy), she is also survived by her grandchildren Theresa, Jonny, Allie and Natalie, her brother Donald K. Ware (Ruthanne), two nieces and four nephews.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to viewing on Friday evening, 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence Rds., Broomall, and Saturday morning, 9:00 to 10:00AM, in the Glenolden Congregational Church, 115 S. Scott Rd., Glenolden, PA 19036, followed by her funeral service at 10:30AM.
Memorial donations: May be made in her name to either the Aldan Union Church, 7 E. Providence Rd., Aldan, PA 19018 or to the Glenolden Congregational Church. Interment: Arlington Cemetery.
