He was the husband for 47 years of Ruth Serockie Ware.
Born in Warminster, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Nellie Sutton Ware.
Richard was a retired carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, boating and radio-controlled planes and boats. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his sons, Ronald W. Ware and his wife, Angie, of Quakertown, and Richard J. Ware III of Kintnersville; a brother, William Ware of Georgia; and a sister, Emma Powers of Washington State.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
