A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Dorothy Anne Lindsay Ware, 75, who died Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in Lafayette, LA.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michael’s will officiate for the service and the burial at Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Mrs. Ware was born May 26, 1930 in Shreveport to the late Jack and Anne McCants Lindsay. She later married John R. Ware, Sr. in Shreveport on June 13, 1950. They then moved to Crowley where she spent her last 46 years. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Affiliated Blind Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lynn Miller and her husband, Shelton of Iota, Jacqueline Gail Ware of Crowley, two sons, John R. Ware, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Lafayette, and Christopher Lindsay Ware of Gueydan, one sister, Josephine Estelle Lindsay Bass of Florida, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Swartz Lindsay, Sr. and Anne McCants Lindsay, her husband, John R. Ware, Sr., one son, Michael Ware and a brother, Jack Swartz Lindsay, Jr.

Visitation may be observed on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday by Sister Justine Baker.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chad Miller, Shane Miller, Corey Miller and Damian Petry, great-grandson, David Christopher and nephew, Jack Bass.
