EDGAR DeWITT WARE JR., 79, of Memphis, retired self-employed business owner, died of cancer Wednesday at Saint Francis Hospital. He was a World War II Army veteran, a Baptist, and attended Sunflower Junior College and Southern School of Commerce in Florida. Mr. Ware, the husband of Ruby Hopwood Ware, also leaves a son, John W. Ware, and a sister, Hortense W. Carleton, both of Memphis; a brother, Albert W. Ware of Foley, Ala., and two grandchildren. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
