Ralph A. Ware Obituary, 2007

NATICK – Ralph A. Ware, 81, a lifelong Natick resident, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 15, 2007.

He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Jarboe) Ware for 56 years.

Born in Natick, he was the son of the late William and Edith (Knights) Ware.

Mr. Ware was a 1943 graduate of Natick High School and completed his education at Burdett College in Boston.

A World War II veteran, he was a staff sergeant in the 80th infantry division of the U.S. Army and fought in several engagements in the European Theatre. He was awarded both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his service.

He worked as a district agent for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company for 39 years.

Mr. Ware’s main passion in life was being a father and grandfather. He was always doing things for others and devoted most of his time and energy to taking care of his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he leaves five children, Cynthia MacDonald and her husband, Bruce, of Lake Linden, Mich., Paul Ware of Marlborough, Andrea Rothwell and her husband, Mick, of Natick, Wendy Ware and her husband, John Cavanaugh, of Natick and Scott Ware and his wife, Laura, of Elizabeth, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Blackmore, Evan MacDonald, Jesse Blackmore, Alexander Mac- Donald, Grace Cavanaugh, Henry Cavanaugh and Brookanna Ware; and one great-grandchild, Rose Blackmore.

Funeral service is Monday, March 19, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 39 East Central St. (Rte. 135), Natick Center.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte. 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.

Burial will be in the Ware family lot in North Cemetery, Rte. 27, Natick.

For those who desire, his family suggests gifts in Mr. Ware’s memory be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
