BATESVILLE – Rev. Dewitt Ware, 86, retired minister and farmer, died Thursday at Beverly Health Care. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Pope Chapel AME Zion Church, where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge. He leaves three daughters, Christine Blackburn of Pope, Farrie Parker of Batesville and Stella L. Wright of Memphis; two sons, Freddie Earl Ware and Lewis W. Ware, both of Memphis; a sister, Farrie Mae Hoskins of Chicago, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
