Fred Ware, 69, of Georgetown died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2001, at the family residence.
He was retired from Shaw Industries in Decatur and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ware, and mother, Ida Beaty Ware.
Survivors include his wife, Sarameida Jean Ware; two sons: Ronnie Ware and Joe Ware, both of Birchwood; stepson, Jeff Howard of Georgetown; two stepdaughters: Beverly Rayburn of Cleveland and Gloria Zook of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters: Mildred Waters and Ruth Hall, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The funeral was held Saturday at the North Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Ken Purdie officiating. Interment was in McInturf Cemetery with Lyle Sawyer, Hugh Broglin, Wayne Ware, Donnie Ware, Dewayne Ware and Chris Spencer serving as pallbearers.
