William P. “Bill” Ware, age 90, resident of 5916 Paw Creek Road, Charlotte, NC passed away April 27, 2016 at Carolina’s Healthcare System-Main, Charlotte, NC. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late William Lawrence Ware and Bright Ross Ware. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Briggs Ware, son; Jerry Steven Ware, and brothers; Eugene Ware and Jimmy Ware. He was a graduate of Indiana Tech, Ft. Wayne, IN., receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science. Mr. Ware retired after 25 years of service as a Mechanical Engineer with GB Electrical formerly Jet Line Products, Inc., Matthews, NC. He was a former member of First United Church of Christ, Charlotte, NC and a member of Mulberry Presbyterian, Charlotte, NC. He attended Harvest Church, Charlotte, NC. Mr. Ware served in the United States Army Airborne Division during World War II.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Paul Maxton Ware, Charlotte, NC Miles Edwin Ware, and wife Stana, Gastonia, NC Daughter-in-law: Leslie Ware, South Dartmouth, MA 5 Grandchildren: Sally, Morgan, Arthur, Cameron, and Peyton

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Saturday, April 30, 2016 4:00 P.M.

VISITATION: 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE MARINE CORP LEAGUE, FOOTHILLS DETACHMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
