Mrs. Edna Lois Ware Obituary, 1948

Mrs. Edna Lois Ware, 41, former resident of Oklahoma who came here with her family in October, 1942, died at 7:15 o’clock Saturday morning in Lubbock Memorial Hospital after an illness of about two weeks. She was born at Newkirk, Okla., and the family moved here from Yukon, Okla. She married Sept. 7, 1931 at Newton, Kas. Mrs. Ware was a member of the Methodist church and of the Pythian Sisters lodge. Funeral services are to be held at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church here, with Rev. H. A. Nichols, former pastor, to be assisted in the service by Rev. J. W. Rosenberg, pastor. Burial is to be here under direction of Stanley Funeral Home of this city. Survivors include the husband, A. K Ware; two sons, Billy Ed and Charles A. Ware; one daughter, Martha Jane Ware; her mother, Mrs. M. A. Godfrey of Tahoka; one sister, Mrs. H. D. Horger of McAllen; and two brothers, Ralph E. and Ray A. Godfrey, both of Crescent, Okla.
