Eunice West Ware, 92, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 17, 2005, at the Church Of The Nazarene, with Rev. James Hubbard, Rev. Dan Hayes and Rev. Steve Hood officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 Friday evening.
Mrs. Ware was born January 10, 1913, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Wiley and Ann Merritt Smith. She was the last living of fifteen children. Mrs. Ware lived in Fitzgerald all of her life. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills and Hardin’s Laundry. Mrs. Ware was a member, a former Sunday school teacher for the primary department and a former Home-Bound Department Supervisor at the Church Of The Nazarene. She was a former Pink Lady at Dorminy Medical Center.
Mrs. Ware is survived by a son: Donald West of Fitzgerald; daughter: Jean West of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kathy (Doug) Shealey of Fitzgerald, Janice (David) Pope of Dublin, Donna Faye (Matt) Matthews of Harlem, Jack and Ashley West, U.S. Air Force, Altus Air Force Base, OK, Charles and Cayce Keele of Lumberton, NC and Mary Wilson of Twin City; 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack L. West and Walter L. Ware.
