Ronald-Ware-Obituary
Ronald Clifford Ware was born on December 10, 1938 in Montesano, WA to Wesley and Pearl Ware, and passed away from congestive heart failure on August 10, 2016 at Whatcom Hospice House. Ron was a commercial fisherman for 50 years, fishing the Puget Sound and Alaska. He was regarded as a great “web man” who had a knack for mending and modifying nets. Ron will be missed by the many he helped. He was a generous man who loved animals and was tenderhearted toward those who were less fortunate than himself. He often cooked for the holidays and hosted those who had no family. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, photography, cooking, gardening, reading, watching sports and traveling with his late wife, Esther. A high point in his life was when he got saved. After giving his life to Christ, Ron devoted many years to studying the Bible, became ordained, and cherished the time he spent in leadership and teaching as assistant pastor at his church in Langley, BC. Health issues eventually kept Ron home, where he spent his recent years bird watching, tending his garden and telling stories about his life and many adventures hunting and fishing. Many thanks to Little Bear for all the meals they served, and to the amazing team from Hospice for the excellent care they provided. All are welcome to join in the Celebration of Ron’s life on Friday, September 16th, 2:00 at the Squalicum Yacht Club, 2633 S. Harbor Loop Dr., Bellingham, WA. Bring memories to share!
