Stephen Ware, age 39, a resident of Baton Rouge LA, passed away on October 25, 2017. Stephen is survived by his adoring wife, Gayla Guitreau Ware; his children, Joseph Reed, Hanna Renee, and Karleigh Page Ware; his father, John D. Ware, Jr. and his step-mother, Cynthia Miller Ware; his brother, Dr. David B. Ware and wife Dana; his mother-in-law Rhonda Guitreau; brothers-in-law, Garrett Guitreau and wife Abigail and Craig Guitreau and wife Katie; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was greeted in heaven by his mother, Anna Lee Ware; his father-in-law Joseph Craig Guitreau and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence “Greatdaddy” Wester. He was a champion among men, kind, adventurous, generous and hysterically funny. His love for his family and friends ran straight from his heart to his hands, which have served this community for the better part of 3 decades. Steve lived life in such a way that it would take most men 10 lives to live. He never met a man, woman or child he couldn’t relate to. He laughed and played as much as the children he ministered to for many years. He dined like a king, traveled like Huck Finn, and lived like a servant every day of his life. He married the love of his life and never smiled bigger than when he was spending time with his “Joe-Man”, “Hanna-Bug” and “Karleigh-Butt” Steve taught us many amazing truths and principles and one of which he would never want us to forget…THE SAINTS WON THE SUPER BOWL!
