Carol Elaine (Ware) Porter, 73, of Uniontown, formerly of Edenborn, Pa., peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 8, 1943, one of eight children to Lawrence Ware Jr. and Henniretta (Brown) Ware.

She received her education through the German Township School District and graduated in 1963. She attended the University of Pennsylvania completing her degree in Nursing, retiring from the City of Philadelphia as Public Health Nurse Administrator after 47 continuous years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings Kenneth Ware, Lawrence Ware, Wilbur Ware, Roberta Friend, and Sallie Wills.

She leaves to mourn a loving sister, Juanita (Geary) Harris, and a brother, James Ware both of Edenborn, Pa.; granddaughter Kaamilah Lee of Uniontown, Pa.; aunt, Mildred Brown of Masontown, Pa.; three nieces including special nieces and caregivers Carol Harris and Anita Belt; three nephews; five great-nieces including Anaejah, Arayiah and Trinity Harris; four great-nephews including Mykel and Mekhi Belt; host of cousins, family and friends.

Family wishes to thank the Uniontown Hospital, WVU MICU and Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME INC., 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Apostle Solomon Dotson officiating.

Interment will follow at Edenborn Ceremony, Edenborn, Pa.
