Bernie K. Ware Obituary, 2018

Bernie K. Ware, age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Community Care Center.

He was born June 27, 1932, in Belington, West Virginia, to Cecil M. and Blanche (Pharis) Ware and has been an Alliance resident for 60 years since 1958.

Bernie was a graduate of Belington High School and employed as a foreman at Monarch Rubber.

His faith was Protestant and he was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Disable Veteran of America.

Bernie’s hobbies included fishing with family, hunting, gardening and building homes.

Survivors include his wife, Shelba J. (Hutzler) Ware of Alliance, whom he married April 18, 1958; sons, Danny G. (Tamra) Ware of Belington, West Virginia, and Gregory S. (Terrie) Ware of Alliance; granddaughter, Latosha (Samuel) Ash of Junior, West Virginia; grandson, Drew Ware of Belington, West Virginia; great-grandson, Lucas L. Ash of Junior, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Potts; and five brothers, Lonnie M., Fletis, Thomas Lee, Cecil and Max Ware.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at Trinity Cemetery in Belington, West Virginia, at a later date.
