CRESAPTOWN — Donald C. Ware Sr., 69, of Cresaptown, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at his residence. Born Sept. 14, 1938, in Cresaptown, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Amber Belle Cole Ware. He was also preceded in death by one son, Donald C. Ware Jr.; one granddaughter, Kyler Dudiak; three brothers; and two sisters. Mr. Ware was retired from the Local 568 Ironworkers and was a former employee with the Bill Miller Equipment Co. He was a United States Marine veteran and was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren outdoors and watching them play sports. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Ann Ware; one son, Rick L. Ware and wife Tada, Cumberland; two daughters, Teresa R. Dudiak and husband Jon, LaVale, and Kelli L. Waasdorp and husband Joe, LaVale; one sister, Penny DeLawder, Potomac Park; 12 grandchildren, Jade Browning and husband Mike, Cole Dudiak, Logan Reiter, Cade Dudiak, Madison Reiter, Taylor Dudiak, Elizabeth Ware, Hunter Ware, Noah Ware, Corder Phillips, Kristyn Waasdorp and Drew Waasdorp; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Ryleigh. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, scarpellifh.com on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Green and Pastor Douglas Seaman officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded by the Post 13 Honor Guard.
