Norma Carol Ashley, 93, of Texico, NM died Sunday, September 15, 2018, at Plains Regional Medical Center. A visitation will held from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Muffley Funeral Home, 1430 N. Thornton, Clovis, NM. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Melrose Cemetery with Mike Ashley officiating. Larry Frost, Garret Ashley, Ryan Ashley, Justin Ashley, R.C. Curley, and Ed Tolliver will serve as pallbearers.

Norma was born January 24, 1925, in Hall County Texas to George Buren Ware and Lema T. Timmons Ware. She married William Fred Ashley on June 1, 1943, in Melrose, NM. Norma owned her own dress shops and later had her antique store. She enjoyed ceramics, and published three historical autobiographies. Norma was a member of Melrose Church of Christ.

Survivors include: her three sons; William Gary Ashley of Texico, NM, Mike (Debora Ashley of Hawley, TX, and Jeffery Lynn Ashley of Melrose, NM, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Lema Ware, and husband; William Ashley.
