The Warre, Manor House at Middlezoy, acquired by the Warres in 1375 and held for 500 years. it was mentioned in Sir Francis Warre’s will in 1719.
We visited there in 1991, and took the following picture, we met the present owners who gave us a tour, Mr. Wilkins was a carpenter by trade an had fully restored it, we were told that the stone on the fire place was grooved by the men sharping their arrow heads.
