“WARE, Katherine Augusta, poet, b. in Quincy, Mass., 1797; d. in Paris, France in 1843. She was the daughter of Dr. Rhodes of Quincy. In 1819 married Charles A. Ware, a naval officer, removed to Europe in 1839 and remained there till her death.
She edited the ‘Bower of Taste,’ in Boston, and in addition to poems for news-papers, published ‘Power of Passions,’ and ‘Other poems’, London, 1842. ” (1)
