Footnote.com is offering free access to all the historical newspapers on the company’s web site.

On Footnote you will find newspapers ranging from small towns to major cities and dating back to the 1700’s.  Whether a historian or a genealogists, historical newspapers are one of the best resources that provide a unique window into the past.

These newspapers will remain free to the public through the end of May.  You can search the databases without registration but a free registration is needed to view the images.
