“Edmond Davis’ second house, where some of the early religious and town meetings were held, was removed from No. 28 to No. VI, on Davis brook. One portion of it was fitted up for a dwellinghouse, and another portion for a fulling-mill by Henry Prentiss, ans was so occupied by him as long as he remained in town. It was sold to Jason Ware in 1826, and continued to be a part of his house as long as he lived. It has recently been taken down, and the materials used in the building of Henry W. Ware’s new house.”
