“DEATH OF MRS. WARE.
Mrs Jeanette Ware, widow of Eugene F. Ware, the Kansas poet, known as ‘Ironquill,’ died in Kansas City on December 6. She had been ill of pneumonia a week. It was said her illness was induced by overwork in making arrangements for the annual meeting of the Kansas Day Club to be held January 29 at Topeka. Her body was buried beside that of her husband in The National Cemetery at Fort Scott. Many members of the Oklahoma Bar Association remember well Eugene F. Ware. Several years ago he delivered the principal address before the association a the annual meeting. He returned but recently, at that time, from a trip through the Bible lands and had personally inspected the ruins in many of the old cities of Egypt. His address was one of the most interesting ever delivered before the association.”
