Ware Lake, Missouri

Ware Lake is on a tributary to Big River in Jefferson County, Missouri and is used for recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1955. At normal levels it has a surface area of 15 acres. It is owned by Ware Lake Subdivision.

Ware Lake Dam is of earthen construction. Its height is 28 feet Its capacity is 225 acre feet. Normal storage is 155 acre feet. It drains an area of 450 square miles.
