”ALONZO ADDISON WARE, son of Dan. Jonathan and Alice (Hamblet) Ware, b. Swanzey, Sept. 1, 1825, d. there, Feb. 8, 1895; m. Nov. 29, 1894, Marietta Adelaide Newell, b. Alstead, Mar. 15, 1854; dau. of Daniel P. and Betsey (Downing) Newell. After the death of Mr. Ware, his widow purchased the northern part of the former Daniel Goodnow house at East Sullivan. She moved to it Apr. 29, 1896. She was well educated, an accomplished teacher, and a valuable acquisition to the social circle of the town. She was the 2d wife of Mr. Ware.”
