Mrs. A.A C. Ware

“Jan. 6, 1897.

The special meeting of the Woman’s Auxiliary was held in the Pavilion parlor with 21 present, Mrs. A. A. C. Ware in the chair. Mrs. Luna S. Peck was appointed secretary pro tem.

The exercises were opened by voicing the Lord’s Prayer. The Auxiliary then elected the following officers to serve for the year ensuing:

Pres., Mrs. C. F. Smith.

Vice-Pres., Mrs. J. L. Bronson

Sec, Mrs. Ida M. Pierce.

The literary program was presented as follows:

Influence, by Mrs. C. F. Smith; Discussion, led by Mrs. C. E. Denney, followed by Mrs. A. A. C. Ware.

House-help, by Mrs. Luna S. Peck; Discussion, by Mrs. Ware, Mrs. Nelson, Miss Anna Barrows and Mrs. C. E. Denney.

Miss Anna Barrows of Boston, Mass., then gave a cooking lecture which was very interesting and instructive, at the close of which a motion was made by Mrs. Peck that the meeting of the Auxiliary adjourn to meet at the time and place decided by the Dairymen’s Association.

The names of the members joining at this meeting were Mrs. Jennie L. Brock, Baruet, Vt. ; Mrs. F. L. Smith, Fletcher, Vt. ; Mrs. M. W. Clark, Williston, Vt. ; Mrs. John Smith, Newbury, Vt. Luna S. Pkck, Sec. pro tem.”
