Isaac Ware Obituary, 1908

“Isaac Ware Dies.

Farmington News:

Isaac Ware of near Farmington, and for over sixty years a resident of this and the Big Mound neighborhood died at 5:15 Wednesday evening. He was stricken Friday with an obstruction of the bowels and rapidly grew worse. On Tuesday morning a surgeon from Keokuk was called and with Doctors Mott and Kirkpatrick, performed an operation. The attending physicians had little hope but the patient rested easier during the night, and Wednesday morning reports gave a little encouragement. By noon Mr. Ware began to sink rapidly and all hope was given up.

Short funeral services were held at the late home at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, after which the remains were taken to Sharon where the regular services were held, Rev. Ball of the Congregational church in charge.

[date not give but position in scrapbook would suggest Nov. 1908]”
