"James H. Ware, 95, of Friedens RD 2, died Dec. 24, 1979,
at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Oct. 8, 1884, in
Fairhope, son of Amos and Barbara (Ellenberger) Ware. Preceded
in death by parents; wife, the former Cora Sarver; daughter
Dorothy Good; four brothers; four sisters; two grandchildren;
and one great-grandson. Survived by these children: Mrs. Irene
Berkebile and Clyde, married to former Hazel Ginter, both of
Stoystown RD 2; Mrs. Effie Krause and Edison, married to former
Lena Irvin, both of Dover, Pa.; Mrs. Myrtle Baird, Alverston,
Pa.; Harry, married to former Margaret Glessner, Mrs. John (Anna)
Menser and Mrs. Elwood (Marian) Zimmerman, all of Friedens RD
2; Mrs. John (Nellie) Klotz, Somerset RD5; and Donald, married to
former Alice Shaffer, York; 31 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren;
and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Retired coal miner. Member
of Tire Hill Local 998 UMWA and Friedens Lutheran Church. Family
will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains
will be removed to Friedens Lutheran Church to lie in state
from noon until services at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. James R.
Ling. Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery."
