"Jimmie Lee Vannote, 67, of Blackwell, formerly of Kingfisher,
died Monday, April 29, 2002, in the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home
in Blackwell.
A family graveside service is pending. Arrangements are under
direction of Roberts and Son Funeral Home Inc. of Blackwell.
He was born June 9, 1934, in Olive to Clyde and Lilly Stout
Vannote.
He married Nancy Ware in 1958, in Blackwell. He married Peggy
Bush in 1963 in Blackwell. They lived in Blackwell for a short time
before moving to Kingfisher. She preceded him in death on Oct. 25,
1999.
He worked as an electronics technician and owned his own business
where he worked on radios and other electronic equipment.
He was reared in Olive, where he attended school. He moved with
his family to Blackwell in the early 1950s.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1957.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Jane Hill of Marion, Ill.;
three stepdaughters, Debbie Foulk, Tammie Price and Connie Maschino,
all of Kingfisher; one brother, Ed Vannote of Blackwell; eight
grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Peggy, and one grand-
daughter, Skye Maschino."
