"Leon DeFoor Sr.
   Lavonia
       Leon N. DeFoor Sr., 79, of 120 Brickyard Road 
   died Thursday, June 26, 1997.
       A native of Franklin County, Mr. DeFoor was a 
   son of the late James Nelson and Ethel Ware DeFoor
   and the widower of Jewell Power DeFoor. He was employed 
   by Robinson Furniture Co. and Singer Furniture
   Co. and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
       Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at 
   Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Rev. Billy
   Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial 
   Gardens.
       Survivors include a son, Leon DeFoor Jr., Lavonia; 
   and two sisters, Clara Smith, Toccoa, and Grace Harris, 
   Buford.
       The family is at the residence of Clara Smith, 302 
   S. Pine St., Toccoa, and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. 
   today at the funeral home."
