SWEETWATER - Modenia Ware, 92, of Arlington and 
formerly of Sweetwater, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998,
in an Arlington hospital. Service will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Highland Heights United Methodist Church 
with burial in Slaters Chapel in Nolan. Arrangements 
are by McCoy Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 23, 
1905, in Nolan and had lived in Arlington for eight 
years, moving from Sweetwater. She was a schoolteacher 
and a member of Highland Heights United Methodist 
Church. Survivors include a daughter, Dana Mitchell 
of Arlington; a sister, Novice Whiteaker of Abilene; 
three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.
