"Willa Gene Felible, 80, Stillwater, died
Friday, July 26, 2002, at Rosewood Nursing
Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Rev. Trudy
Morphew will officiate. Interment will be
held at 4 p.m. at Pond Creek Cemetery.
Felible was born June 10, 1922, to Wade and
Dora (Ware) Vest in Pond Creek.
As a young child, the family moved to Stillwater
where she attended and graduated from Stillwater
High School.
She then attended and obtained a bachelor of
science degree from the Oklahoma A&M School of
Business.
After her education, she was employed at the
Payne County Courthouse for a few years.
She married John Max Felible Sr. in 1944 in
Stillwater.
After their marriage, the couple moved to Tulsa
where she worked at McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft
during World War II.
The family returned to Stillwater in 1952, but
shortly thereafter moved to Oklahoma City where
she and
her husband owned and operated Felible's Greenhouses
until their retirement in 1989.
Her husband predeceased her in 1991 and in February
of 2002, she moved to Stillwater to be near her
daughter.
She will be remembered for her artistic abilities,
beautiful flower gardens and deep and abiding love
for animals. She also enjoyed spending time with her
family and many loving friends.
Felible was predeceased by her husband, her parents
and one brother.
She is survived by one son, John Max Felible Jr. of
Hays, Kan. and one daughter, Sharon Felible of
Stillwater.
