“Blanche Luella Ware was born March 14th, 1920 at Hillsboro, Oregon to parents, Nile Erastus & Ella Bell (Sears) Bennett. She died Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at Regency Hermiston Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 91.
She was raised in Hillsboro and in 1936 she married Harold Wallace there. They moved to Stanfield, Oregon and then to Elgin, Oregon in 1945. They lived in Elgin until 1965 when they moved back to Stanfield. Blanche and Harold divorced and she married Gerald Ware on February 26th, 1973 in Walla Walla, Washington. They lived in Stanfield and in Hermiston until Gerald’s passing in 2002. Blanche attended the Church of Christ in Hermiston. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, and the coast.
She is survived by Son, Wayne and wife Trula Wallace of Summerville, OR; Niece, Lorraine and husband Cecil Odom of Lyle, WA; 2 Grandchildren, Joy Wallace of Longview, WA, and Waynette & husband Allen Newlin of Wakeman, OH; 2 Great-grandchildren, William Newlin serving in the U.S. Army in Kuwait, and Nicole Horton of Portland, OR; 2 Great-great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by Husbands, Harold Wallace in 1975 and Gerald Ware in 2002; Sister, Lovell Carter in 2008.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Stanfield, Oregon.
