“(ROANOKE) Ebenezer Ware, 79, Thursday, Fed. 13, 1997, at his home in Roanoke.
Mr. Ware was born Dec. 31, 1912, in Troup County Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Will and Lelia Esters Ware. After coming to Roanoke, he joined First Baptist Church on Riley Street, continuing his membership until his death. Fo a number of years he worked at Phillips Milling Company.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday Feb. 17, from First Baptist Church, Roanoke with the Rev. Lathonia J. Wright officiating. Burial was in East Roanoke Cemetery.
Mr. Ware is survived by a daughter, Leanora W. Grady, and son-in-law, Joe E. Grady of Anniston; two grandsons, Andre’ Grade and Joe Grady, Jr. of Roanoke; one grad-daughter, Gwendolyn D. Grady of Anniston; five great-grandchildren; and a special neice and nephew, Charles and Brenda Ware of Roanoke.
He was preceded in death by his father Will Ware, mother Leila (Esters) Ware, and wife, Thelma Ware, and two children, Willie Frank and Leanora I.
Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke, was in charge of arrangements.”
