“Evangeline Laurie Ware, 55, of Ross Hill Road, Charlestown, died peacefully on Saturday July 11, 2009, at The Westerly Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold Ware.

Born in Westerly on Feb. 3, 1954, she was the daughter of Evangeline (Bosworth) McQuaide of Charlestown and the late Arthur E. McQuaide.

Laurie worked for many years at the Westerly Stop and Shop.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her brother, Bruce A. McQuaide of North Stonington, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her lifelong friend Joanne.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Union Cemetery, Route 49, North Stonington.
