“DECATUR -Howard A. Ware, 78, of Decatur died 8:19 a.m. Thursday (July 8, 1993) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday with Masonic services following in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Memorials: donor�s choice.

Mr. Ware was born July 12, 1914, in Shelbyville, the son of Jessie W. and Bessie I. Barger Ware. He worked in the engineering department at Caterpillar Inc. for 18 years and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was also a member of Faye MaddyMound Road Christian Church, Ionic Lodge 312 and the VFW. He married Faye Maddy in February, 1937. She preceded him in death April 4, 1982.

Surviving are his sister, Iona M. Jones of Decatur; nephews, Robert Larus of Florida; Ronald Ware of Florida; Michael Jones of Chicago; nieces, Marilyn Saris of Florida; Rena Runner of Florida; Shirley Wadkins of Ohio; Lorraine
Fraiser of Decatur; Karen Forthun of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.”
