Everett R. Ware Obituary, 2005

“Davenport – Mr. Everett R. “Peewee” Ware, of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Davenport.

He was born Feb. 14, 1943, in Davenport, the son of Elmer and Margie (Weatherly) Ware.

He was an Army veteran that served in Korea. On July 3, 1988, he married Hilda Marquez in Davenport.

Mr. Ware had been employed by the City of Davenport for 25 years, retiring one month ago. He enjoyed country music, cooking, gardening, working on cars, and was a Green Bay Packers fan. He especially loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda; sons, Gilbert and Manuel Ware, both of Davenport; mother and step-father, Margie and Helmut Jech, of Davenport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert and Lori Ware, of Anamosa, Iowa, Rod and Eleanor Schmalhaus, residing in Colo.; a sister, Flori Tonn, residing in N.C.; and several half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Runge Mortuary chapel, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.”
