“A motion was then made by Mr. Marshall to amend the second part of Mr. Pope’s amendment, by adding thereto the following:

`And that the votes of William Steuart, John George, Moses Hann, Noah Ware, Philip Ellis, John Coinee, James Pratt, David Baggerly, David T. Baggerly, Lemuel Norton, Thomas Wade, Charles Utterback, Henry Gibson, Absalom Weaver, and George Dyer, be stricken from the poll of Mr. Moore, it appearing they had not had sufficient residence in the State of Kentucky, nor in the county in which they voted, to entitle them to vote at the late election.’ ”
