“William Albert Ware, son of Nathan and Annie Orr Ware, was born September 23, 1875 near Altoona, and departed this life at his farm home nine miles southwest of Fall River, August 19, 1957, at the age of 81 years, one month and four days.
He resided in this community all of his life. When a young man, he engaged in farming and continued in that business as long as he was able.
On March 6, 1918 he was united in marriage to Della Edna Book. To this union eleven children were born, four of these preceding him in death, Edna Bertha, Ethel Alice, Mary Isabelle and William Albert Jr.
He leaves to mourn his death seven living children: James Ware of the U. S. Navy, Mrs George Speer of Howard, Wilma Ware of Wichita, Mrs Virgil Sexton of Manhattan, Mrs Edward Sexton of Fall River, Mrs Carl Biering of Severy and Mrs Edward Walta of Leavenworth; also four brothers and one sister, Oliver Ware of Altoona, Ben Ware of Coyville, Charles Ware of Altoona, Joh Ware of Coffeyville, and Mrs. Bertha Mitchell of Fredonia, besides seventeen grandchildren, many neighbors and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 23, in Moon Chapel in Howard with the Rev. John Keller, pastor of the Fall River Pilgrim Holiness church conducting the service. Music was by Charles Miller, soloist, and Mrs Elwood Miller, accompanist, Interment was in the South Lawn cemetery near Severy. Casket bearers were Kenneth Butler, Dean Boles, Loyal Baumgartel, John Cox, Lora Parker and Elmer Ellis.”
