“Glenn Ware, age 85, of Murphy, NC, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at his residence.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late William M. and Mary Gladson Ware. Glenn was a retired automobile mechanic for over 18 years at Ware Chevrolet. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing. Glenn was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude, Floyd, Pat and Verlin Ware and one sister, Bertha Gladson.

He is survived by two brothers, C.S. Ware and wife Aline and Max Ware and wife Pauline all of Murphy; two sister in laws, Emma Kate Ware of Murphy and Iris Ware of Danville, VA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Murphy. Steve Ware, Rickey Carter, Brent Carter and Jerry Karnes will officiate.

Burial will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Ware, Keith Ware, Kacey Carter, Kevin Carter, Ray Loudermilk, Brody Loudermilk, James Shope and Hunter Shope.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM, Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
