“Herbert P Ware, 81, a resident of Alexandria, Va. and a former resident of Valley Head Wv died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 1986, in the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Betty Lou Wood Ware.
He was born June 11,1904, in Valley Head, a son of the late Jacob and Sara Hamrick Ware.
His wife, the former Reta Hamrick, preceded him in death in 1965.
Mr. Ware was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving in addition to his son and daughter-in-law are two grandchildren, Timothy and Thomas Ware of Alexandria.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Walker,Roy and Spencer Ware.
Mr. Ware was a retired farmer and a Methodist.
Friends will be received at the F.E.Runner Funeral Home Chapel after 7 p.m. Tuesday, until 9 a.m. Wednesday, at which time Mr. Ware will be moved to the Mingo United Methodist Church for visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the funeral hour. The Rev.Judy Stevenson, Pastor of the church will officiate. interment will follow in the Wares Ridge Family Cemetery at Valley Head. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Wares Ridge Family Cemetery.”
