James Ware (1800 – 1865)

“Husband of Ruth A.(Brown) Ware and and son of Amy (Whitecar) and George Ware Sr. James was born on his fathers farm in old Waretown, now part of Sicklerville area in Camden County. He died near Tansboro in Camden County where he lived most of his adult life.

Ruth and James had at least five children, they were Theodore, Anna, Charles, Andrew and Rachel.

Andrew was born about 1829 in old Gloucester County, now Camden County and he died on 14 Jul 1888, his cemetery is unknown. He married Sarah Elizabeth Brown on 4 Jul 1854 in Camden County, New Jersey. She died on 14 Jul 1904 and her Find A Grave Memorial# 65204166. They had at least six children, they were Anganetta, Clara, Joseph Thackary, Daughter, Ida May and Fannie.

Rachel was born about 1830 in old Gloucester County, now Camden County and she died on 21 Apr 1917 and her cemetery is unknown. She first married John Kellum on 3 Oct 1849 in Tansboro, Camden County. He was born about 1824 in old Gloucester County and died on 10 Oct 1860 in Shamong Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, cemetery unknown. They had at least eight children, they were Amy, Ruth, James, John, Rebecca, Oscar, Sarah and Jemima. After 1870 Rachel married Richard Strang who died before 1930 and they both lived in Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey and his cemetery too is unknown. Rachel’s daughter married Jemima (Elizabeth) is listed under Fag Memorial number 91299514.”
