“Robert Ewing Ware is the son of Wilkerson Linwood Ware and Daisy Augustine Marshall Ware. He married Margaret Elizabeth Callahan of Warren, Pennsylvania on 7 July 1934. They had no children. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1925 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He was a regular Army officer attaining the rank of Colonel(06) and serving in Germany and the Aleutian Islands, Alaska during World War II. His long-time caretaker was Mary Young of Washington, D.C.”
