“AUGUSTA – Synthia Marie Ware, 69, of Augusta died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness. She was born in Gardiner on July 30, 1940, the daughter of Raymond C. and Lillian M. (Sidelinger) Rollins.
Synthia attended Hallowell and Augusta schools, graduating from Cony High School in 1959. She was employed as a food-service worker in the Augusta schools’ nutrition program for 20 years.
She was predeceased by her father; her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth C. Ware; and a son, Stephen S. Ware.
Synthia is survived by her mother, Lillian M. Rollins, of Pittston; her son, Kevin Ware and his wife, Stephanie, of Holden; her granddaughter, Kayla Marie, of Holden; her brother, Robert C. Rollins, of Windsor; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
She will be sadly missed by those who knew her dearly, especially her special granddaughter; her three special grandnieces, Ashley, Alyssa and Jessica; along with her adopted daughter and grandchildren, Debbie, Darcy and Jared; and special longtime friends, Gladys, Gloria, Joanne and Roberta.
Committal services will be held graveside at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 26, at the old Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.”
