William Leonard Ware, age 88, resident of 602 Meadowbrook Road, Kings Mtn. NC died January 28, 2008 at Kings Mountain Hospital, Kings Mtn. NC. He was born in Tryon, NC. He was the son of the late William Franklin Ware and Ava Barber Ware. He was husband of the late Helen Houser Ware. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Nancy Louise Ware and sisters, Catherine Spearman and Wilma Ware. He was a member of First Baptist Chruch. He was retired from Southern Railway. He served in the United States Navy, Corpman for the Marines on the USS Mica during World War II. He was a member of the VFW.

Collins, CO; Patty Alexander and husband James, Charlotte, NC; Nancy Johnson, Atlanta, GA; Nancy Reep and husband Danny, Maiden, NC; Heather Blake and husband Steve, Bessemer City, NC; Robert Ware, Jr., Shelby, NC. 8 Step-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 8 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, February 2, 2008 Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 1:00 P.M. With Military Honors

VISITATION: 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Friday evening, February 1, 2008 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
