Daughter of John & Harriet Bailey Patton, grandaughter of Robert Miller Patton, 20th governor of the state Alabama (1865-1868). After living in Texas and in parts of Oklahoma, the Pattons claimed stakes in Depew, OK, uniting with Mrs. Ware’s grandfather, G.W. Bailey (father of Harriet Bailey). Edith and Hamilton Ware were married 54 years until his death in 1980.
