EDWIN O. “ED” WARE, 84, Lima, died at 2:20 a.m. May 18, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Lima to William A. and Marie M. Mumper Ware, who preceded him in death. On June 29, 1946, he married Dortha M. McVicker, who died Dec. 17, 1999.

Mr. Ware retired as an electrician from Clark Equipment Co., after 40 years. He was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He loved Ohio State football and his dog Maize.

Survivors include a son, William D. (Mary) Ware of Lima; three daughters, Florence M. Meyers of Three Oaks, Mich., and Dorothy “Dottie” (Tom) Chapman and Joyce L. (Brian) Benson, both of Lima; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Seitz and Helen Meyers; and a granddaughter.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Lima Baptist Temple. The Rev. Dan Wigton, the Rev. Gary Hohman and the Rev. Doug Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen County Abilities Baseball League, P.O. Box 165, Lima, OH 45802.
