“He was the son of Rev Josiah William Ware II and Anne S. Nottingham. He studied at Randolph Macon College, and Johns Hopkins University. He married on 27 July 1915 in Germany to Dora Von Turckheim, whom he met in Paris, and they had a daughter named Dora Von Turckheim Ware, called Dorchen.

He taught college in Sewanee, and also in Rome Georgia. John was a professor of romance languages at Shorter College in Rome, GA.”
